About me, what to say, well I’m a level headed bloke, a half-nerd, maybe a little bit more than half nerd, and fairly tech savvy.

Professional life

Me along SS44bis, ItalyIn the past decades I’ve had both challenging and interesting jobs, nationally as well as internationally.  It’s been a privilege to work for and with lots of insightful, talented people from all over the world. These experiences have taught me things I value highly.

I have background as IT Systems Engineer, working on platforms from IBM, IBM/Lotus, Microsoft, plus various Open Source ones. Since the dawn of internet focus has also been web services and platforms, web applications, search optimization and content management systems.  

Hobbies & leisure

2015 I returned to motorcycle riding again. More than 32 years had gone by. It’s been an absolute blast! I’ve been riding tens of thousands of kilometers (or miles) in and across Europe and Scandinavia. Coming years will bring new adventures, where to only time will tell.

Riding combines several passions, like travel,  experience new countries, cultures, and nature, meet people, take (tons of) pictures and write about the experience. A motorcycle is (for me) an adventure tool. What kind of motorcycle is secondary. Well, as long as it does the job, is comfy, practical and runs.

Being a hobby musician I play or dabble quite a bit. Music is and has always been, a key passion. Hope to record new stuff one day, and play with others. Time will show if I’ll get there. Else I work with graphics and graphics design, plus web design. Love photography, not a very good photographer though. Photoshop has been my saviour since 1989.

What else is there

I live in Oslo/Norway, close to mother nature with easy access to fjord, woods and lakes, by foot or bicycle. In winter cross-country skiing if conditions are favorable. Staying reasonably fit I believe is a necessity for harmony and balance in life. Without taking it to the extremes.

As for other hobbies I tinker with photography quite a bit, something this site hopefully reflects. The collection of galleries and photos on this site is growing. I’ve written music for film/TV, Theater, Radio/TV commercials and web presentations. But that’s a long time ago. Nowadays I play mostly for fun. Perhaps one day I’ll manage to get back into composer mode again.
